 Sri Siddhartha Medical College (SSMC) and Hospital, Tumakuru, was established in 1988 under the Sri Siddhartha Educational Society with the vision of developing competent medical professionals committed to quality healthcare, research, and social welfare.

Situated on a sprawling 250-acre green campus, the institution is approximately 76 km from Bengaluru, along the Bengaluru–Honnavar National Highway. SSMC has developed into a recognised centre for medical education and healthcare, emphasising academic excellence, practical training, research, and community engagement.
