St. John’s Medical College has consistently been ranked among the top 10 medical colleges in India since 2014 and has produced seven Rhodes Scholars, the highest number reported by any medical college in the country. The institution is situated on a sprawling 140-acre, green, Wi-Fi-enabled campus featuring an H-shaped academic block designed to support a conducive learning environment.
The academic infrastructure includes more than 10 lecture halls with seating capacities ranging from 30 to 350, equipped with modern audio-visual facilities. The college also has examination halls accommodating up to 800 students, well-equipped laboratories, four auditoriums with seating capacities ranging from 200 to 1,000, and several smaller lecture halls and discussion rooms that facilitate interactive learning and academic engagement.
The pre-clinical and para-clinical departments, including Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Pathology, feature well-equipped student laboratories that provide hands-on practical training. In addition, departmental museums offer valuable learning resources, helping students strengthen their theoretical knowledge and develop a deeper understanding of medical sciences.
